Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is a Site License and IP Range?
A site license allows for full, easy access to these digital books across a campus, without requiring individual passwords and logins. This ensures that these feature-rich books can be accessed across devices, across platforms, and across a campus.
Libraries, schools and database providers appreciate this option. If full access is required along a fixed IP, that is what we offer. This is a terrific solution to the "PDF-only database" which can be easily abused.

2. Are you adding more titles?
At the moment, we are not. Emphasis has been placed on immersive learning (ie. VR), and exploring ways to combine immersive with digital books (not eBooks).

3. What's the difference between an eBook, and the digital books you keep mentioning? Aren't they the same?
There is a concerted effort to highlight the ways in which the digital publishing sector has been taken down the route of enhanced PDFs and eBooks. Most eBooks would be considered to be in the epub format, which is terrific for novels and less feature-rich offerings, but hasn't answered the bell for publicaitons such as textbooks.
This was written in 2011, and is now being updated in 2024. Over a decade later, the sector is still mired in some old (yet easy) ways to do things.
